aboutPamela

Broadcast major, journalism/marketing minor. Heavy interest in music from early childhood. Music collecting started young (2ND grade) with 45rpms, onto the 8-track, followed later by cassettes, reels, cds and vinyl. Serious audiophile junkie!

Vinyl and cd game strong! A former music buyer for several retail companies as well as an on air radio announcer for a former cable radio station. Previous show from the late 80’s was called Jazz Citi-Limits. I was never a club style DJ always radio, therefore I could master my selections by choosing the diversity I offer on the Other Side of the TRAX. I consider my show an acquired taste like good Tequila … the name of my show is derived from the old sayin about the other side of the tracks and how no one really wanted to venture there…in music this is exactly what I want to do. I changed tracks to TRAX to draw attention and curiosity ….so follow me for the great finds on the Other Side of the TRAX 

Never been much of a top 40 hits kinda person, always turned to the B-side of the game. There is far too much music out there to be shared among the masses and once I was turned on to the various genres and styles, my mind went wild with enthusiasm.  I learned simply that the term “hit single” means it will be overplayed and the rest of the recording much ignored. I want folks to hear those ignored or overlooked tracks. Heavy interest in music from the UK and various countries offering their versions of soul.
